And a lot of people still dislike Greninja for the tongue scarf. Zangoose has a mass cult following (for the same reasons) too but neither is very well liked overall.

Why do people keep acting like Delphox was unpopular? It was really only Chesnaught that struggled gaining steam. Greninja and Delphox were fine.

Gen VII's designs were unironically a step up from Gen VI, but /vp/ is still too butthurt from not believing real leaks two gens in a row.

Chesnaught, Delphox are still among the shittiest of starters. I think Inteleon and Cinderace are on that level.

Design wise I don't think any starter has topped Delphox in terms of shittyness and sheer lazyness
Even Samurott is somewhat redeemed by having some kind of ambition behind its concept and I can't hate Rillaboom as much because the line was shit to begin with
