>>43524328I always liked the vibe of gen 1,2,3, 4, where it seemed as though Pokemon were both new to the world and it's people and also ancient and mysterious... , new POKEMON just appear, you have the migrations / gen 3 cartridge event things in Sinnoh, but there's also ancient Pokemon, old lore, ruins, it was so intriguing. And you the player are the one discovering them, capturing them, mining the fossils, documenting the legends and darkest depths of the region. It captured my mind, I wanted to know more, and I played because of that. So many people focus on the hardcore battling but if you played the games, watched the original series on tv, read the manga, it really had a certain vibe. It's too bad they will never recreate it again, but I'm glad we got to experience it, you know?
