>>43533189The plot would have made more sense, but ultimately it's a "save the world" plot crammed into the last hour of the game.
Rose's intention should be made clear earlier on, like by the 3rd gym, the Day of Darkness should happen earlier. Maybe have it occur between the 6th and 8th gyms and have people be too afraid to leave the towns so we can see the impact a Darkest Day has in the current era and the Wild Area is filled with 50 foot monstrosities, while Leon and Magnolia try and fail to stop Eternatus. Then idk if you want evil!Rose have him become mind broken from Eternatus's release and rampage, which leads to him beginning to support it to 'save Galar' and deliberately leads Dynamaxed Pokemon into Wyndon/Hammerlocke, which prompts you to defeat him, and he gets actually arrested and taken away on screen. Then you go on and AWOOOOO AWOOOOO and beat Eternatus.
That may be a terrible example, but the plot needs to develop more organically, Pokemon loves to do big epic disaster scenes like the Ultra Beast invasion or Cyrus summoning the legendaries on Mt. Coronet, but we rarely actually see the consequences or buildups to this and how the villain arrives at this conclusion in newer games. Rose could have changed that, but didn't.
