Ye. Like, there's so much cosmetic shit you could give to the players. Special attack animations, color reskins, Ball spark effects. Different clothing/hair/accesories for the players. You could even try little accesories for the creature's models. Different ball colors for balltism.

It's an indie team, they have probably only tried MMOs once in their lives but thought they could profit getting into this seemingly untapped market of Monster Catching MMOs

Yes, but I didn’t play for long. it’s got some polish but it is terribly bland and boring. Most of the designs are OK, but where Temtem really fails is that it’s just so blatantly lifting all the mechanics from Pokemon and barely tweaking them that it feels like playing a shittier version of Pokemon. Here these guys were, they could’ve shaken up the monster collecting genre, and they chose to just waste all their time and talent making a game that is just Legally Distinct Pokemon: The Always Online MMO.

And there are literally 33 mainline Pokemon games, 38 if you count the Genius Sorority games, and HUNDREDS of hacks/fangames as well as Nuzlocks AND MMOs for FREE.. What would honestly give you any sort of reason to go out of your way to PAY for a BETA of a knockoff Pokemon MMO?
