In GSC, HGSS, and BW2 they made Blastoise the best (last mon in his team slots, HGSS had auto-Hail for Blizzard bias, and BW2 his Blastoise was the most threatening with Choice Scarf + Water Spout), while the games after favored Venusaur (only starter with a Z-Crystal in SM/USUM, only starter he has in Let's Go).
