D/P remakes coming November 2021.

Story will be the same as D/P, but will have lot's of Platinum elements. The map layout will be mostly the same, but there will be one new area, which will be a wild area with raid dens, and you can see all of Sinnoh from there(the wild area will not replace any locations, it will be a new location).
The gyms will not become stadiums, they will be the same as in D/P, but Dmax and Gmax will be the feature in the game. I don't know for sure, but I believe that the gym leaders ace, as well as Cynthia's Garchomp will still Gmax even though it isn't in stadium form, and their Gmax Pokemon will be harder to beat than in swsh.
New Gmax forms include: The starters, Staraptor, Luxray, Floatzel, Garchomp, Weavile, Roserade, Dialga, Plakia, Giratina, and Arceus, as well as some others. The lore will not be changed, except Cynthia will tell you about how Arceus was able to bring Dmax and Gmax to Sinnoh.
Post game episode where you go into distorsion world to catch Giratina, then go and catch Arceus in it's Gmax form, in a raid battle with Cynthia, your rival, and your PG counter part.
The battle frontier and the villa from platinum will be back, and you can use Dmax and Gmax in the battle frontier, however you gain the ability to Dmax through the main story.
There will be many side quests in the game, as well as lot's of things to do daily such as rebattle the gym leaders, battle both Red and Blue, battle your rival, and battle Cyrus and the Team Galactic Commanders.
Hms will be replaced by your bike.
Sinnoh forms won't happen as this is a remake.
All features from D/P/Pt will be back including the underground and mining, the great marsh, poffin making, contests, amity square, the game corner, pokeball seals, the ribbon syndicate, the palpark(to catch the pokemon you transfer from home), as well as all the others.
