I feel like pokemmo has the definitive way to play platinum, the fact that it runs on the gen 5 engine and shit like that, I also like using gen 5 mons in past regions, whats the general opinion on this game?

it was cool for a bit, but a lot of the stuff you can do in it leans towards tedium, and also the devs are lazy fucks who overcharge on anything that could make the game better

maybe I'm missing something? to me its just single player with more access to other things. Personally I'm enjoying using out of region pokemon in like sinnoh, but what should i expect that's bad soon?

playing along with friends is fun, have done playthrus alongside friends before but this adds another level of depth to it. doing unova so it feels very vanilla

OP here probably the one thing keeping me away from playing this game outside of single player is probably the breeding system being complicated as fuck for no reason, why not just update it to the new gen 8 breeding mechanics?

that's one thing that bothered me, it's just a cash grind because they made it harder than normal to breed, with super easy battles on a set route, so you can breed your perfect IV'd mons

Fun game, but it's very obvious that it's a fangame/not running 100% off the actual engines.
Did they ever fix the battles? Something about them seemed off.
It reminds me of those roblox pokemon fangames like brickbronze, clunky and tolerable enough to keep using it

It used to be the normal way but they changed it because people were popping out perfect pokemon like nothing and the game was filling up
Also there was no incentive to catch pokemon anymore

It's really not hard but tedious to breed a 5x31, not to mention expensive at around 800k per pokemon
Honestly just go 2x31 spe, and relevant attack and 25 defenses, and HP
The remaining points will hardly ever make a difference and you will save 700k and a headache

Pokemmo and Temtem are the live examples of why Pokémon should never be an mmo.
Those two games focus on being a mmo with disgusting mmo practices for the sake of making people implement an economy which becomes the main reason for people playing, instead of wanting people to play because it's actually fun to play and battle each other.
