>My old partner is resting here in the Celestial Tower. It was the first Pokémon I received when I became a Trainer. I come here to ring the bell and comfort its spirit. >It was a strong Pokémon. It was courageous, noble, and kind... Together, we madly pursued strength... Without even knowing the meaning of strength. >But, in the same way that all stories have a beginning and an end, all lives have an end, as well... It was then that I understood that strength isn't something that remains unchanged forever. However, the joy one feels in being with Pokémon--that is the real thing. In order to spread the word, I left the Pokémon League and kept traveling... That's right! Traveling is wonderful. I've met many different Pokémon, many different Trainers, and now I've met all of you. There are many more Trainers and Pokémon to encounter in the world! <player>! Go out and meet as many of them as you can! Is Alder the best champ? Steven is too busy digging for stones, Cynthia is too busy studying, Diantha is too busy being an actress, Leon and Iris only care about battling, Hau and Blue are just kids and Lance is a dragon autist Alder is the only one who travels around the region teaching people to love their pokémon

>>43559366 Alder is incredibly based, it doesn't matter if he's not the strongest champion. Though his theme sucks dick.
But he's basically a wandering Indian chief with a swaggy poncho

Yeah.>great design >nice interactions and dialogue >his team is pretty good (dual screens+quiver dance Volcarona is actually a respectable win condition unlike every other champion team which is just 4 attacks every Pokémon)

how did his volcarana die? felt bad fpr it but no ge's an absolutely annoying faggot maybe he should stop hopping off of cliffs before he kills another mon

>>43559366 His speeches actually made me want to explore the region and battle every trainer I could find, so yeah I’d say he was pretty great character.
Also his pokemon team and musical theme were based, anyone who says otherwise is a scrub.

>>43559516 Ok, ya know what? Fuck this. Fuck this to hell. And fuck...you...
Gen V (5) is friggin' great, and fuck YOU for being a contrarian dickbag. I bet your a virgin, bullying and lashing out vwcause you have no firends?

>>43559366 I like that he's not supposed to be impressive and imposing. He's a weathered old man, made humble and wise by a lifetime of harsh experiences. He jobs to N and that makes him a bad as a champion, but he's an amazing character in his own right. The cliff jump thing gets a bit over-used, though.

But it's based and makes alder even better, too bad the worthless contrarians here ruined Pokemon by shitting on gen 6

>>43559366 Blue is pretty cool, works hard, is always a step ahead of you. His comments in Lavender town is pretty down-to-earth for a kid. Iris and Wallace are really just replacement champs and I don't take them seriously. Lance was kind of cool in gen 2, Cynthia and Steven feel like tour guides but seem like cool adults that study things and both have good fights. Leon is a shitty character and boring fight. Alder was pretty cool, its a shame he isn't champ in BW2
