First time beating X, r8 the team
Gotta say, the first 3-4 Gyms of Kalos was some of the most fun I've had playing Pokemon in a while. A ton of Pokemon variety, and the EXP share let me play around with as many of them as I wanted. But after that it kept finding new ways to disappoint me.
Gym Leaders, Rivals and Lysandre seemed to cap at having only 3 Pokemon, with the E4 and Champion not being much better. And despite being the main selling point of the Gen, Megas were hardly in it. I didn't use the poverty Kanto starter or Lucario, so Lysandre's Gyarados and Diantha's Gardevoir are the only ones you see in the game.
Shame, I really like the region but all I can really say about Kalos is 'wasted potential'.
Not sure if I'll try ORAS next, or jump straight into USUM.
