Beauty is a highly personal, subjective matter. What you deem beautiful may be ugly for others.
Also, the majority of Pokegirls are white skinned. Dark skin loving folks are simply happy to finally see a new character fitting their tastes.
I personnally dig female characters with brown to dark skin and gray to white hair. The conjunction of dark skin and white hair really turns me on (and I'm not really able to explain it, I just find it hot).
