It was pretty fun, obvious flaws of course, but not as bad as people say. A lot of the anger I think comes from people not realizing that GF is doing the same thing they've always been doing, rather than pushing beyond it. It starts really strong, but falls off a lot once you get into the gym challenges (after 3rd gym). It's been great fun with my family though.

to add to this post-launch support, however minor, keeps me coming back just to do a couple of raids or get some new shinies/competitive mons some of which is made way more convenient so I have a lot more reason to keep playing occassionaly, so I'm cautiously optiimistic that they'll continue expanding on that kind of content in the DLC, and hopefully add more shit like the Mewtwo raid

I thought it was the same thing as the various few last entries were to me: a kind of dorky and overbearing story with some amusing characters that I only went thru so I could unlock the part where I raise and collect monsters. With the upside that this time doing all that stuff is much less of a shore and I've spent alot more time battling online than I spent raising the monsters like in past games.

In other words, the DLC will be adding more monsters and more items and more moves, which enchances my favorite part of the games, so I'm all up for it. I totally understand people that like exploration and side-minigames to be like "aaah this game had no dungeons and i dont like making curry or bike races as much as i liked contests" but it did hit all the buttons of the shit I actualy care about.

Because it said and showed things that looked promising. I'll admit the pokemon coming back in free dlc sounded pretty nice when i was disappointed with just 400 and the fact that they're focusing on exclusively wild area type open spaces shows that they're finally moving on from the shitty route system. I'm cautious but the fact that it's a new director gives me hope too

Unlike some people here I don't think the game is the worst thing in existance. Its honestly what I expectrd from a 3d mainline pokemon game. Just nothing but wasted potential. Still better than all of gen 7 though.
