>>43577582Wouldn't make him into the main villain.
Main antagonist would be the King or Queen of Galar as they try to capture Eternatus so they can obtain more power. Princess of Galar would be Marnie and her daughter. Prince of Galar would be Piers. Both are illegitimate children of the King/Queen of Galar and were raised as commoners in squalor. However, Piers has strong leadership ability and charisma, and everybody finds out about their true heritage.
Team Yell really are the people (commoners) who grew up and followed Piers and Marnie, not because they are fans, but because they want to install them into the royal family. Team Yell's gangster-punk motif would clash with the aristocracy and decorum of the royal knights.
There would be 2 villain teams then: Team Yell and the Galar Knights. Team Yell are all Dark-type specialists. Galar Knights use Pokemon of several types but each of them serve a specific knight, and as such they use that knight's type.
There would be a whole group of antagonists, all based on the types that aren't represented in gyms. Since there are 10 gym types, there would be 8 royal knights.
Rose would be the royal knight of Steel.
Bede would be the royal knight of Psychic.
Oleana would be the royal knight of Poison.
Then you would have new characters as royal knights for Bug, Normal, Electric, Flying, and Ground.
Rose would have adopted Bede as his son, and he would be the leader of the knights. Their goal of collecting Wishing Stars is to satisfy their King or Queen, who wishes to use them to have more power (both in Dynamax as well as ).
Bede eventually realizes from his defeats that Rose doesn't care about him, and that Opal does. Opal is revealed to be Bede's actual grandmother, and that Bede's parents were originally opposed to the royal knights for trying to control all of Galar. They were killed trying to stop them. Opal raises Bede into a proper Fairy-type trainer and GL. Avery replaces Bede as the Psychic-type royal knight.
