Nothing currently, training my recent shiny hatches

RNG sucks. With MM + charm, took me 1,452 eggs for shiny Duraludon and then 1,060 eggs for shiny Cottonee.
My next hunt was Salandit. At first all I wanted to do was hatch a female Salandit to see if I could perform that evolve male Salandit glitch before I went crazy hatching a billion eggs to get a shiny female.

3 eggs in to that I got a square shiny female Salandit...

Trying for a shiny Oddish in LGP because I'm still salty that I found one within a a few minutes of starting a new game but it despawned before I could reach it. I'm also mentally preparing myself for a shiny Dracovish.

I hatched a shiny Popplio while breeding for a 5IV HA in Sword. Few days later I found a random full-odds Caterpie in LGP while walking along a route.

Next day I wanted to catch 30 Net Ball mons for a pokémon HOME challenge so I went to Route 1 for that random shiny Wooloo chance. I found the black sheep on my second Wooloo encounter.

I've been thinking of doing some ribbon autism and wanted to start it with a shiny shadow togetic from colosseum.
But I've heard that shiny hunting shadow togetic in colosseum is really hard, and I couldn't find out why that would be the case.
Could any of you give me a rundown of what I'm getting myself into? Never played the GameCube games btw.

Don't have anything at the moment, but will get back to it in Ultra Moon once I've beaten Olivia.

In Ultra Moon, finally got an SOS chain for Vullaby to produce a Shiny with the correct Nature.
The success came during my 7th attempt. I was about to give up on that hunt if my Synchronizer failed again.

In Sun, was EV training a lot of my previous Shinies that day, so I had a feeling a random Shiny was going to show up.
Sure enough, one eventually did, but it was an Alolan Raticate instead of the Alolan Graveler I was hoping for.
Already have a well trained Shiny Alolan Raticate with a useful Nature, so I Wonder Traded it.

colosseum hunting is pretty weird, you have to catch the pokemon every time because it rolls the shiny chance for both when the trainer sends out the mon AND when you add it to the party. so a shiny can become normal and vice-versa. as for togetic itself, for one, it's shiny is different from the main series (the triangle patterns don't swap but it has a golden skin color so eh). and it's moveset's pretty finicky (shadow rush which causes recoil, sweet kiss, yawn and charm).

I'm not sure how true this is, but I've personally found that in USUM, unlike in SM, when SOS chaining the Spearow & Rufflet/Vullaby shadows on Route 3 you have to start the chain with the Pokemon who's Nature you want at the head of your party alive.
Usually when I SOS chain the, the Pokemon at the head of my party, the one who's Nature will be Synchronized, is fainted.
None of the other Pokemon I've SOS chained so far in UM have had this issue.

You can shiny hunt in Emerald and RS with a dead battery. Like Emerald, RS with a dead battery, generate the same random number. That means that the random number will be the same on every specific timeframe and changes 60 times a second. For shiny hunting this means you can do random encounters normally. If you soft reset at the exact same time the results will be the same. You can wait after soft reseting to get different results.

I prefer to soft reset with a battery simply because you don't have to wait through the message that says you don't have a battery. I have soft reset on Emerald successfully. I hate the miss-information, rumors, and fear surrounding RSE shiny hunting.

I'm on my first run of Let's Go Eevee, stepped into Rock Tunnel and decided to hunt Shiny Charmander since they're so easy in this game.

25 hours later, i've got 2 Shiny Golbats, a Rhyhorn, a Graveler, a fucking Kangaskhan and an overleveled party. Fuck this game.

I think I'm up to seven now? Dewgong, Gothorita, Togepi, Swirlix, Helioptile, Sandile, and the Electabuzz. I've just been going through all of my Friend Safaris and leveling up my breed pokes while getting at least one shiny from each safari.

I found a shiny magikarp while hunting for a feebas to SOS last week. I had 8 or so form the Swword raid event, another 2 found in GO, somebody wonderboxed me another when Home opened and I still caught the thing.

Always sucks when you're lucky enough to get a Hidden Ability but on something that you don't want it on when SOS chaining.

The one time I SOS chained for Drifloon the same thing happened to me.
I decided to keep it, however, and finished EV training and Hyper training it about two weeks ago.

Gen 3 is the worst gen for shiny hunting full stop. Your choice is a pair of roaming legendaries, a long animation for the box legendaries and you need a boat ticket for the other 2. Best choice is your favorite Regi. I’m pretty partial to choccoastic Regirock.
