I always really liked her arc in the manga, although I probably wouldn't rank her too highly among the protagonists of the first few storylines. Red coming back to fight Bruno will always be the highlight of that arc for me, but her battle against Lance was pretty awesome in its own right. I'd say she's overall very likable. She'd have to be pretty obnoxious for me to hate a character with such an adorable design, though.

Absolutely. Emerald was kind of a twerp, and his arc was where I lost interest in the manga. I only really slogged through it to see the characters I actually liked come back.

Yellow is in my top three favorite female Pokemon characters. Her arc is my favorite part of the manga and I think she is a genuinely well-written character by Pokemon standards.

She's definitely one of my top favorite Pokemon characters, and is definitely my favorite of the manga protagonists. I also like that she was a background character that eventually became a main one

I consider Emerald the worst protagonist in that series, so yeah. Not that I think Yellow is up there, I think the RS/DPP protags are the best developed overall

I mean yeah, emerald is usually agreed to be the worst protagonist from the manga series.

I borderline wanted to drop it at that point, but i powered through and it was worth cuz dp is great stuff.
