>>43589361It's called "Pocket Mosters Special" to differentiate it from the manga featuring Red, Pikachu, and Clefairy that started before it, which is simply called "Pocket Mosters". Apparently "Pocket Mosters Z" and "Pocket Mosters G" (from "Get", as in catching) were considered beforehand, and the Z title was even used for early prints of the first volume.
