Pretty standard play, but most Clefs on Showdown atm are slow TP Wish pivots on fat balance. If the player had a feeling you'd send out Aegis, he'd just TP on your switch in and bring in his answer to Aegis.

A negative priority switch is actually really good, but I have strong doubts that the nove is inherently broken. The problem with Clefable is that it is impossible to wear down and can pass Wish, something not true of other Teleport Pokémon, even good ones like Chansey and Slowbro.

You guys complain about boring 30 minutes long switching and chip damaging but just refuse to play the other meta that on average lasts 7 turns.

I mean, it certainly does the job of killing Ferro, but that set needs Sub to work which would drastically hurt it's ability to deal with Corv. As well as hamper utility it could have for the rest of the enemy team. A-Golem wouldn't need a niche set like that to deal with either, and could have some use to the others thanks to its other two coverage moves.

Ferro has Body Press too, so if it has Iron Defense it wins, but if it does not it can actually still lose. The problem with Magnezone is that without HP Fire each set becomes too specialized in taking down only a certain subset of Steel types (and not doing a very good job at it), while Alolan Golem can still act as a generalist and even get rid of Pokémon that used to be impervious to Magnezone (Heatran, unboosted Excadrill).

Then you're losing out on the pivot potential of Volt Switch. Not to mention you'd have to run some funky as hell EV spread to make use of Body Press whill still being able to threaten Corv. Again, something A-Golem wouldn't need to worry about while still having access to a strong Electric STAB and Volt Switch.

Won't work against what? Ferro and Corv? It needs to be wary of say, Power Whip on Ferro, but any set would still outspeed and do heavy damage on Scarf sets and almost OHKO on Banded. Just get some chip damage in prior and Golem can clean them up.

Clefable is a fat fuck and is basically guaranteed to survive most hits.
When you teleport, Clefable takes the hit and the mon you're sending in doesn't.
That means you can get free wish heals or just get in a frail mon safely.
