BW2 are my favorite pokemon games but this is the worst gym in the series, either this or elesa’s rollercoaster bullshit

I couldn't agree more. The games really tried in all those small areas that really mattered, gave the games an aesthetic that felt unique. The separate gym themes thing, adding more frames for pokemon animation and giving trainers animations. The games also had a lot of exploration, some of the best in the series for me because it offers true variety

Even the remakes knew how terrible it was and at least added some more stuff and other trainers to it. They even changed his dialogue to make it sound more like he is rebuilding his gym there instead of hiding in a random cave.

Honestly, Lacrene Gym from BW1 is my least favorite. It is just OBNOXIOUS to go through. And it ISN'T the first gym, which typically are bland to a fault.

Basically no thought and is just wandering around a single room, reading books, talking to trainers. And you have to read the books to already know which book to read next.

It isn't interesting and is more just a time waste. It is like Blaine's Trivia without actual Trivia or Good/Bad parts. If you mess up in which book to read next, nothing happens, if you do it right you continue as normal. Battles always happen and are always the same.

There is nothing special. Just boring and bland. But I guess it IS normal type.

I always thought that the Lighthouse itself was the gym since it's full of gym trainers, and the gym itself was just for the gym leader fight.

all the gyms in bw2 were too easy, even on challenge mode. the gym leaders past the 3rd gym should have 5 pokemon each, not 4. even by the 8th gym when i had a full team the fucker only has 4 pokemon. also the hugh fight after the 6th gym where he only has 3 fucking pokemon was so disgustingly cringe. hugh is the shittiest rival ever.
