>>43613372>The two have entirely different playstyles, which I have pointed out.And something I did not dispute. At the end of the day, though, a wallbreaker is classed by its effectiveness. And at that, Dracovish is just clearly superior
>he just requires a little more effort to get goingI also didn't dispute this.
Again, Intimidate Gyarados struggles to actually hurt Ferro, Pex, defensive Kommo-o, etc. and outright just can't win against mons like Kyurem or Zeraora. If Gyara doesn't have Intimidate, it loses a ton of bulk and is immensely susceptible to chip damage, which is horrible for a mon that needs setup.
You're discussing a mon's viability on paper, when it's been proven in practice that Gyarados is inferior. There's a reason why it's in B- rank on viability and Draco is A.
It's not to say Gyarados is useless or nonthreatening, but it's a worse stallbreaker than Dracovish and didn't require a big shift in the metagame to stop it
>>43613391Leech Seed requires you to boost up really high to hurt it, like +5 minimum, Bounce is a 2 turn move, and this is while Ferro is spamming Knock Off and doing like 15-25% chip damage depending if you have Moxie or not while you hurt yourself. If you have Moxie Ferro straight breaks subs with Knock Off, too.
There is EQ, but it still doesn't really do much to Ferro outside of higher boosts and you're sacrificing something Gyarados needs.
This isn't to say Gyara can't win against a Ferro, but good Ferro players should never lose to a Gyarados.
