ITT: We come up with new game mechanics. Whether they're battle mechanics, outside battle mechanics, minigame modes (contests, Pokeathlon, ect), new types, abilities, moves, ect
>Example:
Trainer Classes
Pokemon is an RPG, and RPG's have classes. This is basically an attempt to implement traditional RPG classes to Pokemon
What do Trainer Classes do?:
Near the start of the game, you get to pick your trainer class. You can change your trainer class later and unlock new ones as you go through the story. These Trainer Classes give your Pokemon different benefits and encourages building your team in specific ways. For example: The Hiker Trainer Class gives a 1.1x Defense buff to Rock, Steel and Fighting-Type Pokemon and gives a universal 1.2x Defense buff if the entire team is made up of Rock, Steel and Fighting mons
This is just one example out of many. These effects appear both in singleplayer, and online
I may expand further on this concept later
