I like them more than the average anon but they do have problems. Their stat were poorly thought out Serperior feels like it was only built with contrary in mind because god forbid it be good without a broken braindead ability, Emboar has the most thought out stats but it was still given a pointlessly high Sp.A for I can only presume to be seen as a "viable mixed attacker", and I have no idea what was going with Samurott's stats its Sp.A is than its Att and the rest of the them look like they belong to a swift swim user

Started with Blue in '98
BW was genuinely more enjoyable to me than anything since. RIP
Worst aspect is the linearity of Unova, but we did get the best route design of the series. Would be best region design if it'd had any interconnectedness of Routes

Wrong.
Snivy, Tepig and Oshawott are really strong designs with good potential. To this day their solid Pokémon, Snivy in particular. Then Gamefreak does as Gamefreak is and totally shit the bed making their evolutions. Dewott and Serperior are acceptable but the rest total dog shit.

Also started with r/b/y in ‘99. The routes in gen 5 are beautiful, reusable tms, animated sprites were meh but still cool. Loved the music, the variety post e4 and in bw2. Not the biggest fan of the starters but I enjoyed using serperior on my black2 run. Probably my favourite gen.
