This game is unironically shit and the most overrated Pokemon game ever made.

>Wes is praised for being a dark and cool criminal but after the opening cutscene he immediately becomes just another faceless protagonist except now with an edgy design
>region is boring and uninteresting
>battles are horrifically slow and plodding, with no option to turn off move animations
>all captures have to take place in trainer battles which are a complete pain in the ass, ask anyone who's ever caught the Legendary Beasts, you have to do an entire 10+ minute fight just to get to the mon, then spend 10+ minutes failing to catch it and have to start all over again
>music is jerked off over being le greatest of all time even though it's merely good for Pokemon standards (I would take Ruby and Sapphire's OST over it to be honest)
At this point I'm inclined to believe the love for this game is just contrarianism. Just play Gale of Darkness, it's better in literally every way.
