I actually think this is more likely thank you would think. I doubt Game Freak will want to make an entirely new Sinnoh in 3D, it would be a lot easier to use the LGPE engine that preserves the grid based design.

And the idea for remakes is to be a quick project for the fans while they develop a new gen.

All I want is an exact remake of Platinum with modern graphics (Let's Go not SwSh), a slightly updated regional pokedex (can leave out gens 5-8 entirely even) and a decent Battle Zone. I'd like to see following/riding pokemon return, and one-on-one interactions like Amie and Refresh. I don't want to see wild area and raids as these are incredibly boring in SwSh. If they must implement raids I'd prefer they use the underground so long as mining and bases are present. If they force dynamax into the game's plot I will sell my switch and finally be done with this franchise.

ORAS had the Exp.All key item, and they more or less kept the same difficulty and lv curve as R/S - remember than post-gen4 the exp gained gets modified by the level difference

This with ORAS modifications for post legendary encounter. The story is fine as is. Include Pluto from Platinum for the "Distortion Episode" in the postgame and replace that Cyrus battle in the Distortion World with a strong Pluto fight. Catch Giratina, then emerge only for the Arceus event to occur. Also keep the Darkrai and Shaymin events somehow, maybe make them unlock as you make progress through the Battle Frontier so it incentivizes it more.

Diamond and Pearl have flaws but weren't bad games. Platinum came in and fixed technical bugs and added more content typical of a third version game but I wouldn't call Plat good and shit on the base game.

I don't want a copy-pasted battle frontier. I don't want voice acting, English translated from Japanese sounds like shit and Nintendo has a bad record with dual-audio. There are enough events in platinum that weren't released, and knowing GF we'd just get more delta-episode shit and handout legends.

I'll be honest, I don't mind how easy the games have become, because I've only played the recent games with harder romhack patches, and they've been throughly challenging and enjoyable experiences as far as battling is concerned.
Would be nice if I didn't have to wait months before playing a new game though.

Honestly, sinnoh is my favorite region but I understand why some do not like it.

All they need to do is remake plat, and fix the issues regarding hms, bam there you go you got a competent remake. There are other things that can be improved here and there but I don't know if I can trust gamefreak to meddle with anything else.

Also expand on the Rotom lore. It’s heavily implied that Cyrus was the original notebook writer who first met Rotom, so give me that postgame sidequest where I can reunite them!! (Similar to the Celebi event in hgss).
