Yes, Pursuit was always Tyranitar's main sell. It had the bulk under Sand to not get threatened by the things it wanted to catch. But things may change now because the Latis got Aura Sphere, on top of Pursuit itself being timegated.

Besides, people are using Hippowdon a lot more now for Sand-setting because of the reliable recovery and ability to disrupt Clefable.

I don't think I've EVER been hit by a tyranitar's pursuit. But I run monotype bug mostly so maybe that's it.
