Playing through HGSS right now, actually.
Was wondering if it'd be worth picking up a Dratini or an Abra. I wanted to farm out the coins for a TM from the GC so my Gastly can get a special move before level 30, but the grind is so fucking awful so I might just use my winnings on a mon instead.
Doing a Nuzlocke so I can only pick one, and if I decide to get either I can't grab an Eevee later.>>43630168Probably Abra. Geodude is really good early game but its glaring flaws hold it back in late game, Machop is better but will still struggle in places thanks to its kind of mediocre stats. Gastly is cool be requires a ton of babying early on to be good. Best answer is Abra, it absolutely destroys pretty much right off the bat thanks to elemental punches, and will always be a threatening beatstick.
