I was mildly excited for XY.
I was moderately enthused for ORAS.
Then I perked up again when SM was announced, but actually playing it felt like a chore, so I dragged it on as much as possible.
I actually forgot about USUM months after it was released, and I never bothered to pick it up, as I was told very little was actually different (even for a tertiary version).
I kept up the with news on SwSh, but ultimately did not pick it up, because I don't even have a Switch. I just had different financial priorities (not poor, I just don't think video games are too important right now).
I *might* buy a Switch if they announce a tertiary version of SwSh, or if they consolidate the DLC content. And even then, that's a pretty big maybe.
I'm wondering the same thing. I loved the fuck out of Pokemon from gen 1 through 4, then I started caring less.
