I play VGC and have 1 national and 6 regional tops tough, don't know if that works for you.
I love tournaments when people come with many interesting ideas and strategies and the like, so you're never sure what variant something is or what a team does until you find some confirmation (at least you find something similar in the later rounds of regular metas). I just find this kind of stuff really exciting and fun.
