Pokemon abilities are usually given out due to lore or logical reasons, not because they make sense competitively. Mr. Mime and Mr. Rime have ice on their bodies, hence Ice Body.

Aurora Veil isn't a barrier of ice; it is an aurora of light that protects the user. In any case, Snow Warning doesn't make much sense on Galarian Mr. Mime and Mr. Rime since Ice Body already exists.
It has nothing to do with being an apologist so you shouldn't use that term. Understand that abilities aren't given out because you want them to. Abilities are traits that a Pokemon has because of their appearance, temperament, or powers. Mr. Rime doesn't have enough ice power to summon hailstorms. It only manipulates ice to create barriers and slippery floors, not massive blizzards like Abomasnow, Vanilluxe, or Aurorus can.

These are probably meant to be a "selling point" for the DLCs, I assume you are going to be able to catch them in raids on the Isle of Armor and/or the Crown Tundra. Or maybe, but I doubt it, they are finally introducing an Hidden Ability Capsule in the Isle of Armor, since they said that they are introducing new items.

They will, but they'll be locked to individual Pokemon, so they can still hold onto HA Pokemon for events.

With that said, the fact that there is a Galarian form event that is directly tied to preparing for the Isle of Armor has me curious. We're definitely getting more regional forms other than the aforementioned Slowpoke and Slowbro in Isle of Armor. We may even get over 10 in Isle of Armor.

Snow Warning is reserved solely for Pokemon that can conjure up massive blizzards with their Ice-type power alone. Vanilluxe (a literal ice monster that has snow all over its body). Abomasnow (the abominable snowman that has snow all over its body). And Aurorus (the ancient dinosaur monster that has icicles on its body and whose skin is made entirely out of ice). Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Ninetales were given Snow Warning because they are counterparts to Vulpix and Ninetales, who have Drought. They still live in icy mountains, and Alolan Ninetales guides people out of blizzards. Mr. Rime and Galarian Mime only use ice in more limited ways, such as creating slippery floors and barriers. They don't have the ferocious power to summon blizzards like the others can. It doesn't matter anyway. Even if you don't agree with me, the point is that Game Freak didn't give Snow Warning to either of those Pokemon. Game Freak logic is that if an Ice-type Pokemon can summon blizzards on its own merits without using a move, it has Snow Warning. If the Ice-type doesn't have enough power to control blizzards, and can only use ice in limited ways, or have ice on their bodies, then they get different abilities.

GameFreak's sheer incompetence and them constantly phoning it in made some portion of the Pokemon community paranoid with every GameFreak decision and those paranoid guys are very, very vocal on social media and boards which mostly consist of naive underage people who get swayed by memes and shitposting, such as yourself. Acting like you understand 100% of GameFreaks reasoning when they dole out abilities is beyond retarded. Your explanation for why Vulpix and Ninetales get snow warning is literally just "because their other forms also got a weather ability" which is so meta I don't understand how you can try to also make the argument that Mr. Mime can't have the ability because his ice powers are weaker

Not everything has some huge meaning behind it, you don't need to read into every little detail about a Pokemon, and even if you do, you aren't GameFreak and your headcanon isn't reality
