Haxorus is just because it's strong and the sixth Pokemon is always something that can beat whatever you bring in hoping to use on the starter you know he has. For example I had a Centiskorch ready for Rillaboom, so Rhyperior was what he sent after me to kill me, cuz rock beats fire.
