I used Solrock for quite a while in Emerald Kaizo. It was a great anti-psychic, resisted Psychic attacks, it could take the omni-present Shadow Ball with its high Def and hits back with Phys damage - that most Psychics are weak to.
And EQ immunity is literally always useful
