'wasted potential' is how I'd probably describe it. I liked the setting, the huge dex, most of the new mechanics.
The main issues were the shitty rival posse were all exactly the fucking same and could have been condensced down into like 2 people, the bosses were all far too easy being limited to like 3 Pokemon for no reason, and the Megas didn't even show up in-game if you skipped the poverty Lucario/Kanto starter
