People in the Pokemon fanbase seem so hell-bent on "equality" and "justice for Dunsparce", but they don't realize that this franchise doesn't "forget" about any Pokemon. They just give a little special treatment to the Iconic ones. People recognize Pikachu & Charizard. You can go ask anyone on the street, and they will likely recognize who Charizard is. GameFreak doesn't "love" Charizard, they cater to it because that's what people know and want. And they DO give buffs to forgotten and unpopular Pokemon like Corsola & Farfetch'd. Literally any long running franchise does things like this, they don't "ignore" the others, they simply give a little more exposure to the Iconic ones, similar to Smash Bros. who chooses the Iconic ones most of the time. You can catch Cherubi & Maractus in Sword & Shield, so they never forgot about them.
