Yeah and Dark kinda ruins Chaotic's legitimacy anyway. If not for Dark I could easily see Hydreigon, Spiritomb and Malamar as Chaotic Types.

How about Jewel Type or Crystal Type? I know Rock covers that but fuck Rock and also when you comb through the roster you'll notice a decent amount of the Pokémon actually do have gemstones on them.

We honestly need more crystal/gemstone pokemon. What do we have, Carbink, Diancie, Sableye, and maybe those orange bits on Roggenrola's evos count? I've always thought this aesthetic was massively underutilized, and would make for a bunch of really cool rock types.

I always got the impression Normal's real power was adaptability and synthesizing everything together. Like, Normal Types look boring and grey, but you can get grey either by sucking out the color from something, or you can get it by combining all things together. Outwardly it looks the same. Normal Types don't truly have nothing going on. They have potential and they work like the ultimate blank canvas.

I don't mind it except for the fire resist, I think you're reaching too much ok that one. Since the concept is unpredictability, what about a fighting resist? "the best swordsman fears not the 2nd best, but the idiot with a sword" and all that. Problem is that fighting is already pretty resisted, dunno if it'd affect type balance for better or for worse.

Normal mons got turned into fairy mons, so normal type is definitely a placeholder in the case of the most abstract mons.

"Chaotic behavior" is a trait I'd definitely associate directly with Ghost and Fairy types, because they're both based on mischievous creatures. "Normal" type doesn't strictly refer to normal behaviors, its clearly meant to be more of a neutral type in terms of offense and defense ablilities. I'd say its about as generic in concept and execution as the ones you mentioned.

Definitely better than Light/Sound/Cosmic, but that's a very low bar.
Just acting fucking crazy is morally neutral so I'd say it still falls reasonably well under Normal personally. Still, you could definitely have fun with it and make some lolrandom mons and moves from it.
As far as fake types go I'm pretty sure the only one that isn't at all redundant in any way is a soap or cleaning type.

Fungus is one of those types that sounds pretty cool as an idea but goes to shit once you get to the balancing stage.
Grass absolutely cannot take another weakness even if it meant Fairy and Water got their faces kicked in.

PILLOW TYPE.

This type specializes in moves that cause sleep, and is resistant to normal, fighting, rock and flying types because it's a fucking pillow. Flying resistance because it also flies when thrown.

It is weak against Fire(burning), water(mold), bug(bedbugs), and steel(fucking knives putting holes in my pillow).

This is actually a pretty endearing idea and even though it feels more like a weird halfway point between Normal and Psychic I'd still be ok with it being a thing. Not a fan of those type matchups though so I made my own:
SE against: Fairy(they get cozy too easily), Ghost(putting spirits to rest)
NVE against: Bug(bedbugs), Psychic(can stay awake with psychic powers)
Weak to: Bug(bedbugs), Psychic(psychic power disturbs dreams), Dark(assholes like waking people up)
Resists: Fairy(balance bullshit), Flying(because feathers and gentle breezes are cozy)
