The belt is the same, just that Machamp's become even buffer for it to fit on him.
And, the "duckface" isn't bad. If you look at it long enough, you'll get used to it and find it smoochable.

Most people who used one were probably never able to evolve it, so they got attached to the mid form. Machoke isnt even the only one, Kadabra and especially Haunter are fairly popular as well.

I don't know, but what I do know is that I have always found Machoke to be the weakest design of the line by far. I never liked Machoke's veins, head, and face compared to Machop and Machamp.

I like the duck face. Machamp always reminded me of Goro from MK, who is part Dragonkin I think. In my head, Machamp had the duckface, and could learn Fire Blast, to kind of make him seem a little draconic.
