hand destruction only goes so far. lets say reset stamp, or marnie cards came back, they are limited in power. Marnie doesnt punish at all, and ive enjoyed my opponent using marnie on me. likewise, eject button is pretty good, but only in late game.
you say a ton of hand destruction, but besides those two, i cant think of another that would eliminate or lessen the effect of hand traps.
also, once a hand trap activated, it would supposedly go in the discard pile right? because if not, it basically guarantees decks will be optimised to consistently draw that card in your hand.
yet again i dont know the specifics of hand traps.
and hand traps would indeed change the game hugely. like they have NO place in current meta, but maybe in the next rotation. but wed have to set up. like bring in powerful hand descruction, hand reveal, shuffle back in item cards (some gx moves do that, but thats too niche to focus on)
