How good would Slaking be if it had Wonder Guard instead of Truant?

I don't think it would be too strong, Aura Sphere Togekiss counters it and Intimidate is still a problem.

The only reason Wonder Guard is acceptable on Shedinja is because it only has 1 HP and a bunch of weaknesses.

On anything else, Wonder Guard would be absolutely broken.

wonder guard isn't that great. if you have common weaknesses it's basically like having no ability, plus there are infinitely many ways to get around it even if you can't hit for weakness. I would say wonder guard is a pretty average ability since haven't it means you can't have a better ability like magic guard/bounce, pure power, mold breaker, etc.

I didn't say it wouldn't be good, just that there are much better abilities in the grand scheme of things. Like would clefable really rather have wonder guard than something like magic guard? Would mimikyu rather have wonder guard (situational immunity) or disguise (guaranteed immunity for one turn)? Would hydreigon rather have wonder guard when it's still killed by fairies?

Or even going back a gen, would landorus rather have wonder guard and still get killed by ice beam, or something with more general utility like Intimidate which is always good? think about it there are so many better abilities that wonder guard is just average by comparison.

Imagine a pure Water-type with Wonder Guard, for example. You could build a whole team around just that thing, four strong electric/grass counters and one cleric with Heal Bell and Wish support. The moment you get rid of all enemy mons with electric or grass coverage or toxic, you have won. Even if they predict well or surprise you with some rare coverage move, you probably would have given the water mon a bulky set of EVs so it wouldn't get OHKOed.
It would be insanely broken.

Probably. Remember, WG is a great scout tool in knowing your opponents movesets since you'll ALWAYS know that the mon you send out has coverage against you, thus you need to takke care of it before setting up your sweep.
