>>43665145Seedot's movepool got better in SWSH.
It gets Absorb at Level 3, Rollout at Level 12, Mega Drain at Level 15, Payback at Level 18, and Sucker Punch at Level 30. Seedot also evolves super early into Nuzleaf starting at Level 14. Even if you evolve Seedot, Nuzleaf has several good moves now, such as Razor Leaf, Explosion, and Air Cutter (from the move reminder); Extrasensory at Level 43; Sucker Punch at Level 50; and Leaf Blade at Level 57. In SWSH, you can easily obtain a Leaf Stone in the Wild Area, or in Turffield. You can have a Shiftry by the time you make it to the first gym. Shiftry has Leaf Tornado, Sucker Punch, Extrasensory, Leaf Blade, Sunny Day, Payback, and Hurricane at the move reminder. Shiftry is one of the best early-game Pokemon in SWSH for a reason.
Don't let Seedot's apparent lack of a movepool detract you from using it, especially if it appears in SWSH and future titles when stone evolutions have access to their pre-evolution's moves at any time. Shiftry has an amazing movepool of extremely strong moves if you evolve it, and you can easily clear the first two gyms with it.
