I legit don't understand this redesign.
ORAS Maxie seems to be pretty much the same thing as RS Maxie; ORAS Archie can't possibly be the same person as RS Archie. Are we meant to assume he's the same person in another timeline, or is it a a butterfly effect thing where a totally different person, but with coincidentally the same name, became Aqua Leader?
>>43668427Seriously. The HGSS Rocket Admins feel like they're right out of a shonen anime plot. The GS admins are literal whos and it was impossible as a kid to tell that some of them were meant to be recurring individuals, but I liked that about Rocket in GS. It felt like an organization basically falling apart, but with literal whos taking advantage of the opportunity to declare themselves admins of their isolated faction. FRLG's random Rocket factions in Sevii Islands suited this pretty well to the point I don't think it's so much my own personal headcanon as much as the overall vibe TR gives off in *both* Gen 1 and 2.
The retcons in HGSS and even LGPE implies Team Rocket was organized enough to easily fill the power vacuum in Giovanni's absence, which doesn't fit their goofy ineptitude in so many other aspects.
