A reminder that this gen's gimmick will end up like last gen's gimmick because it's tied to the legendary, which is why Mega is still more active in Pokemon in general, even if not in the intro games of this gen.

None of the Galar trio are tied to the gimmick beyond their moves which are nothing but damage enhancers against said gimmick. And the fact that none of them can’t even use the gimmick means they are perfectly fine going forward.

Necrozma on the other hand is now without its “complete” form, leaving limited options for its uses going forward
