I feel like because Clefable is used for TeleWish bullshit more than half of the time, it seems like that's all it can do, when it's really far more versatile than that.
It's why I hope Teleport is what gets banned instead of Clefable itself, since there is value in keeping the non-cancerous elements.

I was about to do the calcs and point out that the number of turns required to set up would allow Chansey to whittle Clef down with Seismic Toss and force it to play catch-up, putting it on its back foot and eventually being able to outstall it by making it run out of Softboileds first, but then I realized that Clefable is a ghost type in this scenario and that Seismic Toss wouldn't even work.
So yeah, Ghost Clef beats Chansey every time.

Yes. Clefable gets better every generation.
It's looking like it'll get banned to Ubers this gen. Won't be surprised if it gets banned to AG in a couple more gens, and maybe even get its own tier a few gens after that.

The real Clefable's best universe is the one that not only fairy Clefable existed but also a regional fairy/fire Clefable was made. Said regional form had Earth power and better speed at the cost of physical power and the exact same abilities as base clefable so that got banned to ubers in 3 days.

Clefairy is blessed by Gen I's normal Pokemon's learnset (which means it can learn a lot of shit because normal types were allowed to do so back then), now replace virgin normal type with Chad fairy type and give it an ability that makes it immune to passive damage, if that isn't enough give it LGPE's telewish

It'll be Teleport that gets banned post-DLC, once Chansey comes (and to a lesser extent Slowpoke evos and Porygon2) it'll be clear that Teleport is the uncompetitive element.
