Infernape is a let down from Monferno, but he's still decent. Empoleon line sucks hard. He's just a fat pinguin with random motifs.
Torterra is the best starter ever created alongside Jungko and Venusaur

I definitely see the myths. But what I don't understand is that they went with two (I don't know for certain their specific country of the two) Chinese/Japanese myths (the monkey king and the world turtle), but then they went with a greek god?

They did the same shit with Gen 5

Made two of the starters Eastern (Samurott being Japanese and Emboar being Chinese) and made one Western (Serperior being European)

I feel Empoleon is stronger in concept than execution.
