How am I supposed to use this Honey tree on route 215? It is always raining, so when honey is applied it says "the sweet scent faded"

Ok guys I figured it out. You dont go into your bag and click use on the honey, then it gets washed away. You have to click on the tree and it asks you if you want to slather honey on it.

Speaking of Gen 1, it always bugs me when I see people playing it and they don't order their attacks/items by most used, instead scrolling down every single time. The game and instructions tell you what the Select button does, use it!
