After all they didn't NEED to remake RS, but the did, they don't need to remake DP, but they will.

During the development of RS remakes they were not working on SM at the same time though. Clearly a full-fledged remake requires more resources than a game like Let's Go

Sooner or later, gamefreak will low enough to where even the causal fans will see how dog shit Pokémon has become and abandon it. Hopefully that inspires gamefreak to start investing effort into their games or they just give it up. But it’s going to be a long time before that comes to pass.
