They're basically just in there for cross compatibility (Because reminder, while Ultra Beasts aren't in, you COULD still catch other things with them)

I like space stuff, and Ultra Space was the only good part of USUM. Ultra Megalopolis was a literal hallway, but the different UB worlds were cool and it felt like they actually tried.

Whether they put in a shit ton of hours or shit something like X and Y out, people will buy it.
Sure, putting in SOUL would revivify the franchise and probably bolster profits but TPC and GF are lazy and scared shittles of mixing up the formula (which is ironic considering the quality of the franchise has steadily gone down and it still sells).
