Probably. Remember that they came out with art of U-Necrozma vs legendaries. Even if it's not that hard to get to the white portal, they probably imagined that people would fuck up with the minigame at first. Then they could catch some good stuff or fight a few higher leveled mons to train prior to the Necrozma. All of the wormhole pokemon were at 60 like necrozma as well.

Yes, because as I kept saying about SM, it finally started to match up to the vision of the pokémon world in my head from Red days, including being able to play and bond with my pokémmon. I'm not trying to vilify your for using pokemon refresh, but I shouldn't have to explain why using an optional feature that makes your pokemon deal more damage and avoid KO's might make the game easier

Every other game compares. You get goodmons for shitmons in in-game trades, early access to goodmons, and you get healed every other battle (basically twice per cutscene). Also, WAAAAY to easy to overlevel.

That's the beauty of it, no game is actually harder than the other. All I can really say is that USUM probably babied someone so hard they got "difficulty" tricked in like how the game tricked you into thinking that it had more going for it when it was only forcing you to stop.

Platinum was actually easier for me than OG Diamond and Pearl because you had more available pokemon and new what you were in for.

The OG games were more difficult in my eyes. Especially because you had basically 2 HM slaves in Diamond and it was before exp share made the game ez mode so basically you had 2 useless pokemon.
