Want to make my own pokemon region but i’ve been breaking my head over my starter concepts. If we follow this trend of animals being based on humans what could be some good ideas

Think of a general field of professions.
For example, the gen 6 starters are RPG classes
>Chestnaught = fighter,
>Delphox = mage
>Greninja =r ogue
The gen 7 starters are circus performers >Decidueye = archer
>Incineroar = strongman
>Primarina = freakshow
The gen 8 starters are based on general entertainment
>Rillaboom = music
>Cinderace = sports
>Inteleon = movies (James Bond specifically)
So think of a broad field and choose 3 specific careers in that field.

Only reason i would disagree with this has got to be primarina. Primarina is based on a Selkie. But also a mixture of a Primadona which is an Opera singer. Not really sure if that correlates with a circus theme. But i get where you are coming from because for a while i thought the same
