How isn't it broken? It gets a choice band for an ability and then you can give it a choice scarf at basically no additional price. It's only not broken in doubles because you can team up on it, and basically any good pokemon is broken for the piss easy "actual game".

Viability directly impacts how they play. If a Pokemon has no discernible usage and is utterly outclassed, like, say, Sunflora, or Magcargo, or Chimecho, giving them a cool, useful niche would go a long way to making them not just nice looking, but fun to use. And Pokemon is a video game first, fuck any and all other non-vg media. What matters is if they're fun in the game, not if they have good porn or they're fun in the shitty anime

Pretty much the only Pokemon that can revenge kill it are Conk and Bisharp, and both of which can be countered by switching into a teammate. G-Darm often lives until late in the match. I know, I used it on every one of my OU teams until it was banned. It was straight busted.

There's a lot of passive damage that can nullify your Focus Sash, and you'd still need to sacc a 'mon to bring it in healthy so it can mog Darmanitan. However Darm can just switch.

Of course I don't play the shitty in-game metas. 6v6 singles or bust. But that still doesn't mean something is going to be hitting both Darm and Pex hard. The only thing I can think of is, again, Conk, and if you need a 3rd Pokemon to kill it, there's always Dragapult or Clefable.

Nothing of note carries it. Darmanitan doesn't even get OHKO'd by Gengar's TBolt, and it has a chance to avoid the 2HKO too.

Nothing of note, at least not something that runs focus sash, unless you're sashing your Hatterene. You have to put Specs on your Espeon (currently the best Psychic user in the game) to OHKO G-Darm, and Darm outspeeds and OHKOs if you're not running Sash

252 atk Excadrill does a max of 90% to Darm, and gets OHKO'd in return.
