I agree with you on that, since USUM has more content. However, I see lots of people on this board complain about cutscenes which are just as frequent in USUM as they are in SM, so I find it a little strange that people consider USUM better enough to be one tier higher than SM. I'm not saying USUM are bad though, I like them, I'm just acknowledging the fact that lots of people complain about them

Was it really THAT bad in retrospect? Sure it was KAAAANNTTTTOO for the 10th time, but the features were all great. Rideable mons was cool. Masters trainers was a nice idea. It kept the regional and mega versions of mons. Made the cute shill starters good. Made every mon as good as you were willing to train them. Experimental catching mechanics. There was a lot of fun stuff here.

Great Kanto reboot that removes a lot of filler from the original games. Speeds up training, although the endgame is dogshit. Once I caught mewtwo I had no motivation to train any of my mons to fight any master trainers
