I would be a young trainer with a venipede looking for a purpose in life. I'd stumble upon one of Ghetsis's speeches and become inspired to take up arms for his cause. Then I'd slowly but surely dig my way deeper into the hierarchy of Team Plasma while slowly but surely realizing how evil and corrupted the organization truly is. My team would be Scolipede, Mienshao, and a Cincinno shoulder-mon. At some point I'd be forced to release my pokemon and make the rash decision to do it. At some point my mother would see me among Team Plasma at a rally, and she would come and yell at me and make me realize the mistakes I'd have made. After leaving Team Plasma I'd go on a journey of true self discovery while also searching for the pokemon I released.

I like to think that as a Rocket grunt you get a choice between three starter pokemon, like a Rattata, Voltorb, and Zubat. They breed a whole bunch of certain species as incentive for their grunts. Successfully completing missions and turning in spoils of victory earn them Rocket bred pokemon as rewards and higher rank means more choices.

Stolen pokemon go straight to the boss and other high ups. Grunts get the koffings, drowzees and etc that they breed in mass. Otherwise it seems like they're only stealing like five different species of pokemon and not a whole lot else. Why would they even steal that many zubats?

I imagine things like Koffing and Voltorb are acquired elsewhere though, since they're needed for their specific utility

An adventure to climb all of the highest peaks in all of the regions, and reach the deepest most secretive caves and see sights no one has ever seen. Hikers are the ones that go out of their way to find secret spots and that's always been my favorite thing to do in pokemon. I'd probably join up with a Ruin Maniac bro to search for ancient ruins and forgotten places hidden in the mountains. If it's some cursed shit or something to do with the Unown, maybe we'll get Hex Maniac and Psychic waifus to tag along to round off the team. Basically a big ol' exploration mystical adventure.

Expecting to find and capture/battle a bunch of anciet like pokemon that hide out in tombs. Claydols with hyper beam, Spiritombs guarding ancient sites, Tyranittars mad that we're intruding on its territory. And at the very end we find an ancient tower or construction atop the highest peak of the long, probably Sky Pillar, and have to battle either a guardian legendary of the place, or a big fuck off dragon/psychic type that made its nest there. Could take us to a hidden grotto or wilderness path, too, and maybe we can find Selebi. It all depends on wether the adventure goes more for the mystical ancient secret route or the archeology, mountains and exploration route.

I travel the region looking for cute trainers to bring to my nursery and raise from scratch. Some of them will eventually be promoted to Preschoolers (Adult) and have the prospect of being released from the nursery one day dangled in front of them in exchange for them lording their big boy/girl status over new recruits. I imagine that for a Ranger, the maximum adventure would be being the protagonist of one of the ranger games. For your regular ranger though, I assume it would always be a busy life of stopping poachers, tending to pokemon, etc. A but harder to imagine what would be a big adventure for them, but I like to imagine that a rare event like a big migration or large scale spawning event by rare or endangered pokemon would both be something to keep an eye on, and protect harder than usual.

Can you imagine the ammount of destruction that could happen if some chucklefuck managed to steal larvitar eggs while the mom is distracted? That's an entire route or park fucking demolished due to an angry tyranittar. So you'd have to be a bad enough dude to take back the egg and return it while making it out alive. Rangers are always busy.

Maybe there's some sort of "master catch" in every body of water that sells for the most money. Like, every new body of water has a particular pokemon specimen that's much bigger and more powerful and you goal is to work your way to those. Fishermen would employ a mixture of different rods, lures, and pokemon abilities to attract their catch and eventually move on in the world.

You start off as the fisherman in a small pond or Riverside town, and eventually you work your way up to a big deal sea vessel to fish for the most extraordinary pokemon. There's a kingdra causing whirlpools off the coast, and it might be the biggest one the world has ever seen. Are you a bad enough dude to fish it out of the depths, secure the sailing route, capture your target and make it out without being dragged down?

Normal pokemon plots starts with young trainers who had the privilege of having money and get their first pokemon gifted directly from proffesors

But NPCs dont, so they have find their pokemon and resources from jobs or hobbies.

Lets say that to be scientist you have to start as an assistant in a lab, and they borrow you a pokemon, if you do good job you can keep the pokemon as yours, and you can come back to your part-time job to get money or special items, and you go ranking up being scientist in the pokemon world, or whatever trainer ar hetype you choose.

Like an archetype in a rol game

I have no idea how my personality and outlook in life would change if I grew up in the pokemon world where there's probably much less pressure to do certain things and more freedom. But if I were to go there right now my dream would be to just spend a long time exploring and reaching the farthest reaches of the world, and then write a book about it.

I just want to go on an adventure, man. In the pokemon world I'd have companions that could protect and understand me in my team, and we'd able to get past anything together. It would be great.

IRL i'm a library science student so I guess in the pokeworld I would be the equivalent of a college student (though it seems there's only school kid classes). There's not even a book nerd or librarian class even though there's numerous libraries (Sinnoh, Unova and Alola) and bookstores (Galar).

I would love to have a fairy mon as my starter and teach the local kids about old fairytales and mythology of pokemon.

Pokeballs, which are a tool you use to capture creatures that can fly, dive into the ocean, grow food and what knows what else are like 200 yen each.
That's like 2 dollars.

Maybe you could end up being poor, that is without actual money... but the fact that for 2 bucks you could have a creature that could help you survive anywhere means that living in the wilderness is actually viable.
Any forsaken island, mountain, forest or what have you can be inhabited, as long as you get the right pokemon.
Hell, something like a Magikarp can be trained to become a dragon and Magikarps can be fished up with a string on a stick.
