Made competitive team making IN GAME the most bearable it's ever been. No more retarded soccer 3rd person shooter or mobile-tier app that you can only speed up by X2 and takes half a day for 1 stat.

I can easily make some points as to why it got better than other games, but I can't think of a single thing that the last gen introduced that could serve as a reference for the industry. If anything, all that last gen did was trying to rip off other successful models and try to adapt to their game.

I loved how big of a role gyms and the league played and would unironically love to see more games focus on that. They don’t have to make it a competitive sport like Galar does but gyms should be a big deal
