I also like it’s a werewolf-like pokemon.
I don’t like that is a rock type, without any obvious association with rocks.
I also don’t like it isn’t a dark type, when that thematically makes more sense.
And from what I’ve read, its stats suck and doesn’t have the priority move it sorely needs due to being somewhat sluggish, but its faster opposite counterpart that doesn’t need it does. And from what I’ve also read, it’s supposed to take pride in its defense and counter attacks, but its defense stat sucks.
If it were up to me, I’d make the rock dogs steel and have them be dedicated fairy slayers, since it seems like Alola is teeming with fairy types.
